I’m sick of heteronormativity. I’m so sick of it! I want to see a gay couple in the white house. I want to see a trans*woman winning Miss Universe. I want to hear music from queer artists on Top 40 radio without a fucking “coming out” explanatory backstory. I want butch lesbians to teach kindergarten and I want flamboyant men teaching kickboxing and I want straight women to stop commodifying themselves with their sexuality and I want straight men to just go the fuck away for a while and let us queers have our fifteen minutes because they’ve had fucking centuries.
